Sarah Hampton, LAc, specializes in traditional acupuncture, or East-Asian medicine, as well as Chinese herbal medicine. Her approach is very well-rounded and her techniques are gentle and soothing. She also incorporates Chinese massage, or Tui Na, in her sessions, as well as shiatsu. Chinese herbs may be utilized, if needed, to enhance effects of treatment.

Smita Shah, LAc, CNC offers needleless techniques via bio-energetic devices that help rebalance and stabilize normal body functioning.  These bioenergetic devices are highly effective and appropriate for all age groups.

In traditional acupuncture, tiny and virtually painless needles are inserted into specific energy lines or meridians that exist throughout the body like a network of roads and highways.  Modern scientific research suggests acupuncture works by stimulating the brain through the peripheral nervous system.  Studies have shown different acupuncture points can stimulate entire networks in the brain.

The same types of results can be achieved with bioenergetic therapies as well, usually with the use of tiny laser beams that stimulate and unblock energy channels.

One of the most popular bioenergetic therapies offered is PEMF (Pulsed Electromagnetic Field).  PEMF is a direct approach to charging up individual cells, speeding recovery rates, boosting the immune system, eliminating pain, enhancing sleep quality, easing depression, increasing bone density, and increasing circulation to all parts of the body.

You simply lay on a comfortable mat which pulses at low frequencies and penetrates deep into all body tissues.  The frequencies are the same encountered in nature and are safe and highly effective.

Both forms of acupuncture are highly effective for a variety of conditions, including acute and chronic pain, emotional concerns and struggles, hormonal balance, stomach and GI upsets, heart and other organ functions, and chronic disease concerns.
