It’s true! If you adopt these practices, you’ll have a happier, healthier life!
- Begin with drinking more water. Drink half your body weight in ounces each day. Drink more if you are detoxing or drinking coffee and/or alcohol, as these dehydrate and acidify the body.
- Be aware of your breathing patterns throughout the day. Take some long deep breaths, inhaling at least 5 seconds and exhaling at least 5 seconds. Oxygen is synonymous with good health.
- Adequate sleep is also imperative. Nighttime chemistry is when your body repairs and heals itself.
- When is the last time you had a good belly laugh? Take time to ask yourself at the end of each day, “Did I laugh today?” Laughter strengthens the immune system and besides – it’s just fun!
- Healing power lies in doing things that you love. Plan something to look forward to each day. Your imagination is a must! Your immune system doesn’t know the difference between a real picnic in the park or an imagined one.
- Take time to do some physical exercise each day. Your lymph and circulatory systems don’t function at their highest levels without the movement of your muscles. Find an exercise that you can’t find an excuse not to do!
- Look at a tree each day and emulate its magnificent posture. Correct posture helps your nervous system, spine, digestion, elimination, and attitude.
- And finally, you need to think about elimination. You should evacuate your bowels at least twice a day to keep from accumulating toxins that can drag you down. All of the above will help contribute to good bowel habits!
